About Me:
My name is Christine Stevens, and I am a 3D artist currently based in Hong Kong.
I’ve always been very good with my hands. From papier mache to origami, making papercrafts of the Pokemon I watched on TV, there’s not a form of art I haven’t tried.
Nowadays, I specialize in 3D art. Instead of paper and glue, I use a tablet and a mouse. From modelling, texturing, rigging and then to animation, creating digital assets for games and animation from scratch is like creating those papercraft models as a child – a whole new world of creatures and people await, ready for someone to tell a story with.
My senior film, The Divine Infection, was produced at the Savannah College of Art and Design Hong Kong, where I graduated from in June 2019 with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Animation, Magna Cum Laude.
I have a deep love and respect for animals and nature, and have always been fascinated by the idea of shape-shifting and transformation, which is reflected a lot in my works. I Don’t Speak Human and Hominis Bestiarium are an amalgamation of these ideas.
Apart from the digital and physical arts, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, playing video games, cross stitching, and tending to my Siamese fighting fish, Caspian.
